Be Safe, not Scared

As I’ve started to tell more people about this project, I’ve been met with increasing skepticism about my choice to do this trail. It comes from a good place - a lot of concern is related to my safety. However the number one concern of most people is not the weather, not the wildlife, not the challenge of traveling with multiple’s the fact that I am a woman, traveling alone.

When did humans become more of a threat than a thunderstorm, snakebite or a spooked half tonne animal? There are greater things to be scared of than each other. I’ve traveled extensively alone and I will continue to do so. I can’t wait to introduce you all to the amazing people I meet along the way. Be smart, not scared - the world is too beautiful for you to be held back by the ‘what if’s’
